Final Fantasy has long been one of the most recognized and beloved names in the JRPG genre. Some of the most loved elements of the series include it’s characters, and it’s story. So naturally i was skeptical to try it out as an MMO, even when it had a previous successful MMO with Final Fantasy XI. Hello and welcome back to our Thanksgiving episode of the Shot O’ Games Podcast! There’s not a lot of news lately due to the Holiday season but we do have news for all the seasons deals on the hottest video games for sale! Last issue we see the Autobots attacking a human base in hopes of rescuing Alpha Trion. A constructicon working with Prowl and the Autobots leaks info to the Decepticons. We learned the humans have a deadly weapon against Cybertronians and Prowl is threating Jazz with his blaster just as he finds Alpha Trion. Can it get any crazier?
We have come a long way to this end, this third chapter to the trilogy that started with Autocracy, and then Monstrosity. This is where things should really start getting bad, this is the beginnings of the war. I’m eager to see where this last chapter takes us.
Prepare for a trip to the 1980s. Seriously, that is what this issue feels like and I’m willing to bet the entire series just might be the same. It’s a different take on a mash up of two of the biggest franchises out there. Just how well does IDW pull it off?
Let’s face it, Windblade’s first issue set a high bar. To say I’ve been waiting for this next issue is paramount to, well, Starscream’s ultimate desire for control. There is a lot going on in this series and it is shaping up nicely.
