Mortal Kombat Komplete

As promised, I have looked into the new Mortal Kombat Komplete rumor that has been going around. Here are the results.

On April 19, 2011, NetherRealm Studios (Formerly Midway, for all of you Old Skool MK fans) released a game. A game that had a massive hole to fill left by the previously released ‘Mortal Kombat VS DC Universe’. It was simply (and satisfyingly) titled…

The 2011 release of the brutal 2.5D rendered fighting game held up to expectations of old skoolers and new skoolersalike. There was, however, one difference in production that was critical in making this game what it is, a reclamation of its former title of one of the most violent and brutal fighting games in history. This game was created around the famous FATALITY, which was formerly an end-of-production feature in previous installments. There is no denying that this game is epic, on all levels. To add to the carnage, new ‘X-Ray’ moves were added to show the snapping of bones upon impact. NetherRealm and Warner Bros. Studios (who published the game) later steadily released a good chunk of DLC, to include extra fighters such as Rain, Kenshi, the fabled Skarlet, and the infamous nocturnal mass murderer, Freddie Kruegar.

Kratos makes an appearance in 'Mortal Kombat'

Kratos from the ‘God of War’ series makes an exclusive appearance as a playable fighter on the PS3. They don’t stop there, though. 15 Klassic Kostumes, as well as 3 Klassic Fatalities can also be downloaded for certain characters. If you count the amount of DLC this game has offered, its a decent sum of kash, but if you simply either didn’t download any extra content, or just haven’t had the chance or time to pick up the game, then the time to rejoice has come.

They're REALLY going for that 'M' rating this time!

‘Mortal Kombat Komplete’ will be a re-release of “Mortal Kombat’, with all extra DLC already available and slightly revamped gameplay. For those of us who have the game already, like myself, may have already bought all of the available content. Though, because these are non-refundable purchases, the idea of picking up ‘MKK’ is an idea that’s quickly dismissed. So for those of you who already have the game and DLC, then you may want to overlook this game, because it’s a trap! For those of you who have not, you can expect the game to hit shelves February 28th. Can you handle it?
