Blaze here, and I would like to welcome you to this special section dedicated to those games you grew up on, and quite often sank into an abyss of frustration, anger, sadness, and despair on. That’s right, It’s the RETRO section.
Covering and reviewing the games from the birth generation (EX: ‘Atari’ systems, ‘Intellivision’, ‘Coleco Telestar’), to the adolescence generation (EX: ‘Famicom’ systems, Sega Master Systems) and into the just plain old skool generation of today’s gamer society (EX: Sony’s Playstation systems, Microsoft’s XBox, and Nintendo’s N64 with the occasional Gamecube). All of those games that made you the gamer you are today. Those very same games you base your standards of difficulty on when it comes to gameplay. Let’s take a journey down a fantasmical and surrealistic subspace highway that brings you to regress back to the vulnerable, impressionable child you were those many years ago… For those of you who are still the vulnerable and impressionable child you were those many years ago, then I guess just sit there enjoy the ride. For those of you who ARE a vulnerable and impressionable child, then I give kudos to you for showing interest in the games that pioneered the more modern and graphically appealing ones of this time. I hope this gives you a renewed or newfound respect for these masterpieces as the brain-twisting, blood-pressure increasing, heart-wrenching works of art that they are. Strap in, sit tight, and take your heart medication (I already have), ’cause things are about to get Old Skool! Enjoy.
