Transformers: Primacy #1 Review

TF_PRIMACY_01_COV_SUBWe have come a long way to this end, this third chapter to the trilogy that started with Autocracy, and then Monstrosity. This is where things should really start getting bad, this is the beginnings of the war. I’m eager to see where this last chapter takes us.

Previously, the Autobots under Optimus Prime had taken back Iacon-defeating Trypticon in the process. The Dynobots were a bit more monstrous and cranky from corrupted Energon. In this first issue we see the foundation being built. We see both factions rebuilding and heading right back towards an even bigger war.TF_PRIMACY_01_COV_RI

The art in this issue is dark, very fitting and true to the previous chapters. It is very well done and the Subscription cover by Sarah Stone is amazing. The story feels like a foundation; in a good way. It gives us a feeling of what’s going on. You feel the tension between bots and the fleeting peace. I’m looking forward to the next issue and if Autocracy and Monstrosity are any hint, this will be a must have series.
